Levar um animal de estimação para Portugal envolve alguns procedimentos específicos para garantir o bem-estar do animal, cumprir os regulamentos de saúde e segurança do país e evitar problemas durante a viagem. Então, anota aí esse passo a passo que preparamos para você:
1º passo: microchip
Seu animal de estimação deve ser identificado com um microchip de identificação eletrônica, que esteja de acordo com os padrões internacionais (ISO 11784/11785).
2º passo: vacinação antirrábica
Seu animal de estimação precisa ser vacinado contra a raiva. A vacinação deve ser feita após a colocação do microchip, mesmo que o seu cão ou gato já tenha sido vacinado. A legislação da União Europeia só reconhece as vacinas dadas após a microchipagem. Todas as vacinas ministradas antes da identificação, não são consideradas válidas para esse processo.
3º passo: teste de sorologia
Após 30 dias a vacinação antirrábica (atenção: não pode ser antes), leve o animal em uma clínica ou veterinário que faça a coleta de sangue, prepare a amostra e envie para um laboratório habilitado a realizar o teste de sorologia para raiva. O teste, geralmente, fica pronto em até 45 dias.
É necessário aguardar três meses para viajar com o seu animal a partir da data de coleta do sangue para o exame. Ou seja, poderá viajar a qualquer momento após decorridos três meses. A sorologia não tem validade, desde que se mantenha a vacinação antirrábica rigorosamente em dia. Caso você atrase a dose anual, o exame deixar de valer.
4º passo: atestado de saúde
Um veterinário deve emitir um atestado que certifique a saúde e as vacinações do animal. Este documento deve ser emitido para ser apresentado no próximo passo
5º passo: emissão do Certificado Veterinário Internacional (CVI)
Este documento deve ser emitido pela VIGIAGRO dentro de um período específico antes da viagem (até 10 dias antes da viagem). O Governo Federal do Brasil disponibiliza a emissão do CVI online clicando aqui. Você irá submeter todos os documentos pela plataforma e eles retornaram com o CVI, se estiverem todos os documentos corretos.
6º passo: aviso de chegada
Com o CVI em mãos, preencha o formulário disponibilizado no site do DGAV envie por e-mail até 48 horas antes do embarque – o CVI e o formulário – para um dos pontos de entrada dos viajantes para controle de animais disponíveis no site do DGAV.
Você receberá um e-mail em resposta, antes da viagem, dizendo se o seu animal reúne as condições para entrar em Portugal e as orientações do que fazer quando chegar.
Existem restrições para levar pet para Portugal?
Sim, há restrições para levar cachorro para Portugal com relação a raça.
Consideradas potencialmente raças perigosas, essas apresentam regras específicas nos Pontos de Entrada dos Viajantes em Portugal, sendo necessária a assinatura de um termo de responsabilidade do tutor e a notificação de permanência do animal no país.
Atualmente, as raças com essas restrições de potencialmente perigosas são:
• Fila brasileiro;
• Dogue argentino;
• Pit bull terrier;
• Rottweiller;
• Staffordshire terrier americano;
• Staffordshire bull terrier;
• Tosa inu.
Além disso, existem restrições para viajar com cachorros braquicefalicos que não podem ser transportados no porão da aeronave. Esse tipo de cachorro apresenta muita sensibilidade a altas temperaturas, seja calor ou frio, e por terem o focinho achatado, podem apresentar ou agravar os problemas respiratórios.
Após chegar em Portugal, é importante que você registre seu animal de estimação nas autoridades competentes locais (normalmente nas freguesias) e também no veterinário local.
